Marketplace Payments

How do I get paid from the partners participating in the MoPub Marketplace?

MoPub aggregates all of the payments from Marketplace demand partners into a single, simple payment to you, the publisher. After entering your payment method in the MoPub UI (electronic funds transfer or Paypal), subject to the MoPub Terms of Service, we will pay you once your cumulative balance through the Marketplace exceeds $100 USD.

When do I get paid?

MoPub makes monthly payments. Payment is made 60 days from the Invoice Date (first day of the month) in which your cumulative balance exceeds $100 USD. Invoices are presented on the first day of the month for revenue share fees generated during the previous calendar month. Refer to the examples below:

Example 1 – Cumulative balance less than $100 USD

I still have questions regarding Payments, who do I contact?

Please contact MoPub Payment Support.

Where is my payment?

Please confirm that you have met all of the eligibility criteria set forth in the MoPub Terms of Service & provided the required bank account and tax information. If you have confirmed that you should have received a payment from us, then please contact MoPub Payment Support.

Why did I receive a returned payment notification?

We contacted you to let you know that your payment was returned to us. This means that the bank account information you submitted to us is not accurate. Have you recently changed banks? Or closed your account? If not, then have you confirmed with your financial institution that you have provided the correct payment details? Please refer to Payment Basics above.

Some common reasons why payments are returned:

  • General:
    • Account Number not found
    • Account Closed
    • Beneficiary Name does not match
  • For United States individuals/corporations:
    • ACH routing number is not correct – Many financial institutions maintain routing numbers for specific types of transactions; ACH, Checks, and Wires. You must submit the routing number that is specific to ACH transactions.
  • For individuals/corporation in non-US countries:
    • SWIFT / BIC code is not correct – Financial institutions may assign codes which are specific to city, region, and/or branch. In many cases, the code provided to us is for the main branch of the financial institution but may not correspond to your specific branch.
    • IBAN – More than 65 countries globally require an international bank account number (IBAN). These formats are specific in character length and composition.
    • Account Number – Many countries who do not require an IBAN still maintain strict formatting standards in character length and composition.

Why is the Marketplace Revenue displayed in the dashboard different from my payment?

The revenue and other data displayed in the Marketplace dashboard may be different than the final payment. There are several reasons for this. The values shown in the dashboard are based on real-time data feed. At the end of the processing period, MoPub will look at the actual log data and filter out duplicate impressions, malicious behavior and other discrepancies. This typically results in a lower value in payment than is displayed in the real-time data.

Also, MoPub generates a payment only after the cumulative balance reaches $100 USD. Once the balance exceeds $100 USD, subject to the MoPub Terms of Service, MoPub will send a payment for the cumulative revenue since the last payment.

Why is the Marketplace Revenue in scheduled Reports different from my payment?

In order for our publishers to receive reports every 24 hours, our reporting tool counts impressions up to 3 hours from the initial ad request. Whereas, to ensure our publishers are paid properly, our payment tool counts impressions up to 30 hours from the initial ad request.

For almost all impressions on our platform, this will not be a problem as the impression typically occurs immediately after the initial ad request (and well within the 3 hour window). Due to this variation in our systems, publishers with larger caching windows might experience a difference of approximately 0 – 5% in revenue between final payment and our reporting tool.
