Creative Experiences RTB Signals
In the coming months, we will be making changes to the rewarded and fullscreen ad creative experience on MoPub, including but not limited to:
- Skip-to-end card functionality for video ads
- Combined time enforcement for rewarded ads across the video and end card
- How and when ads are closed and skipped
- e.g. whether a close button is presented immediately or delayed
Due to the fact that these changes will ramp up over time and as our SDKs gain adoption from publishers, there may be variability in the experience across auctions. Because of this, we intend to be fully transparent in what you can expect for a given opportunity and are introducing two new custom bid request extensions in our OpenRTB 2.5 requests related to the creative experience.
These are as follows:
|closeAfter||The duration we will delay showing the close button on end cards.|
|countdownDelay||The duration we will delay showing the countdown timer.|
You can find where these new signals will be included if they are applicable in the table below.
We recommend you build support for these new signals so that you can respond accordingly to the requests that drive the greatest value for your advertisers.
